He wakes up screaming
Realizing he’d been dreaming
Sweaty yet relieved
For he had believed
That for a moment
His country was in torment
As towers lay in ruin
Bombed, flattened to dust
Bodies lay astray
As the sirens bellowing fast
Silent screams ensue
Of shock more than fear
For the cocoon had burst
And death felt so near
The red of Klang river
As smoke from KL tower
Raised from the ashes
A fire burning within
Unleashed in spirit
A wave of defiance
As the people rised
Ready to die
As martyrs they strived
As the enemies arrived
He woke up screaming
Realizing..he’d been DREAMING
